Suicide Prevention: Facts, Risks, and Ways You Can Help
According to the Centers of Disease Control, suicide is the 11th leading cause of death in the US. To quantify that, in 2021 a little over 48K Americans died by suicide and approximately 1.7M suicide attempts also occurred in that same year. Suicide affects all races and gender; however, according to research, the highest rates of suicide occur with middle-aged white men.
